USS Churchill

The Federation has been plagued with adversity and warfare for too long. Now that the war with the Dominion is finally over, Starfleet has committed to helping the Cardassian Union rebuild. With their worlds in tatters and rogue remnants of the Dominion lingering in their space, the Cardassians need all the help they can get. As expected the Breen were loath to give up the territory ceded to them by the Dominion and have staked claims throughout the edges of Cardassian space. Patrols have been set up to guard the huge task of regenerating the Cardassian Union. Therefore the Churchill has been charged with searching the edges of Union space, defending the shattered empire while the rebuilding process can take place unhindered. After months in spacedock the USS Churchill is finally ready for re-assignment. Severe damage during the Dominion war, as well as loss of crew, had left the ship unable to return to service. Now with what seems a whole new crew and overhauled systems the Churchill is ready to leave Starbase 832 in the Kora system and begin a new chapter in the ship's story.
